My name is Nick Hess, I'm a software engineeer and technology consultant living in New York, NY
I have had a passion for computers and technology since I was a child, and have experience across various languages and operating systems. My professional experience has largely focused on engineering rich media content for high traffic websites.
Outside of development, I am also a musician, active community volunteer (see linkedIn for details), and avid sports fan.

College Search
This app demonstrates a college search built with angularJS. It is fully customizable to different visual styles and two distinct style examples are included. This app includes a custom search autocomplete with no prebuilt components, keyboard navigation, and CSS transitions.
Wikipedia Viewer
This page utilizes the extensive wikimedia API to search for and display Wikipedia articles. This page includes search text autocompletion, organized display of article titles with short content snippets, and links to the main and edit pages of articles.
Camper News
This page demonstrates a news aggregation application built with angularJS. It consumes freecodecamp's Camper News API and creates a searchable and sortable list of tech and web development related news stories along with their thumbnails, authors, and upvote counts.
